No Maximum Deck Size
This commander removes the usual 100-card cap entirely — technically a deck this size could keep growing forever. In practice, EDHREC's synergy data for any one commander only runs a few hundred cards deep, so we can reliably fill a 250-card deck (commander + 249) with genuinely synergy-ranked cards. Past that point, quality drops off fast as the pool runs dry — so we're capping it there for now. Your mileage may vary: expect a thinner tail of lower-synergy cards than a normal 100-card build.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does Commander Oracle build a Commander deck?

Type your commander's name into the search bar and Commander Oracle generates a complete 100-card deck automatically. It analyses synergy data for that specific commander, scores every potential card by how well it works with your commander, and slots the best options into creatures, spells, and lands — all following official Commander format rules.

Is Commander Oracle free?

Yes. Every tool is free to use, forever — no account required, no premium tier, no paywall.

How is the synergy score calculated?

Each card receives a composite score weighted 60% on synergy (how much more often that card appears in this commander's decks versus other decks of the same colour) and 40% on inclusion rate (the percentage of all registered decks running that card). This surfaces cards that are both broadly popular and specifically powerful with your chosen commander.

Where does the card data come from?

Card information, artwork, legality, and prices come from Scryfall. Synergy and inclusion data is sourced from community deck statistics. Prices shown are from TCGPlayer (USD), Manapool (USD), and Cardmarket (EUR).

Does Commander Oracle follow the Commander format rules?

Yes. Every generated deck is exactly 100 cards (99 + your commander), singleton (no duplicate cards), and fully respects your commander's colour identity — no card with a colour symbol outside your commander's identity will ever appear.

Can I build a deck for any commander?

Yes — any legendary creature or planeswalker legal in the Commander format. Type the name into the search bar and select from the autocomplete suggestions. Commander Oracle covers the full card pool including the latest sets.

How do I export my finished deck list?

Click the Copy Deck List button at the top of your generated deck. This copies a plain-text list in standard format (quantity and card name per line) that you can paste directly into Moxfield, Archidekt, or any other deck management site.
