Overview
Draconic Domination is a Dragon tribal deck. The Ur-Dragon is a 10/10 flyer with eminence: while it is in the command zone or on the battlefield, other Dragon spells you cast cost {1} less. Whenever one or more Dragons you control attack, you draw that many cards, then you may put a permanent card from your hand onto the battlefield. Every attack with Dragons refills your hand and ramps you.
The 99 cards are 32 creatures, 11 artifacts, 10 enchantments, 9 sorceries and 37 lands, with no instants. 28 of the creatures are Dragons, from cheap flyers such as Boneyard Scourge and Scalelord Reckoner to huge ones such as Utvara Hellkite, Ojutai, Soul of Winter, Teneb, the Harvester and Kolaghan, the Storm's Fury. Goblins and Shamans such as Dragonlord's Servant and Dragonspeaker Shaman make Dragon spells cheaper, and Crucible of Fire gives your Dragons +3/+3.
Key Cards
Playing the Deck
The early game is about mana and cheaper Dragons. Sol Ring, Darksteel Ingot, Wayfarer's Bauble, Armillary Sphere, Cultivate and Farseek ramp you, Dragonlord's Servant, Dragonspeaker Shaman and Herald's Horn make Dragons cheaper, and Haven of the Spirit Dragon and Crucible of the Spirit Dragon help cast them. Orator of Ojutai is a flying blocker that draws a card if you reveal a Dragon.
The middle of the game is about landing Dragons and attacking. Broodmate Dragon, Kolaghan, the Storm's Fury, Silumgar, the Drifting Death and Ojutai, Soul of Winter attack with strong triggers, Dragon Tempest gives haste, and Scourge of Valkas and Bladewing the Risen reward each new Dragon. Palace Siege drains each opponent or recurs creatures, and Monastery Siege draws extra cards or taxes spells.
The late game is about huge attacks and a reset. Utvara Hellkite, Hellkite Charger, Territorial Hellkite and Tyrant's Familiar swing hard, Fist of Suns lets you cast spells for {W}{U}{B}{R}{G}, and Crux of Fate can destroy only non-Dragons. Deathbringer Regent, Earthquake and Fortunate Few clear opposing boards.
Strengths & Weaknesses
Strengths: The deck has a huge number of big flyers, and its Dragons draw cards, ramp or make tokens when they attack. It also has good ways to protect the board and answer threats, including Crux of Fate, Fractured Identity, Rain of Thorns, Earthquake and Steel Hellkite.
Weaknesses: The deck is five colours, so the mana is demanding, and it has no instants, so it has little interaction on an opponent's turn. Most of its Dragons cost five or more, and opponents with a lot of flying defence or spot removal can slow it down.
