Overview

Enduring Enchantments takes the classic enchantress archetype and adds a graveyard dimension. Anikthea, Hand of Erebos has menace and gives her fellow enchantment creatures menace too. Whenever she enters or attacks, she may exile one target non-Aura enchantment card from your graveyard and create a token copy of it that's also a 3/3 black Zombie creature — permanently, with no haste and no expiry, unlike a lot of graveyard recursion effects.

This creates a recurring engine every time Anikthea enters or attacks. Enchantments in the graveyard, such as Starfield of Nyx, Heliod, God of the Sun or the enchantress creatures, become permanent 3/3 Zombie creature tokens this way, triggering their enter-the-battlefield effects again as they return. The deck wants to fill its graveyard with enchantments through normal play and incidental discard, then recur that value one card at a time, every time Anikthea enters or swings.

Key Cards

◈
Eidolon of Blossoms
Constellation · Card Draw
A 2/2 enchantment creature with constellation: whenever it or another enchantment you control enters, draw a card. Every enchantment you play, and every enchantment Anikthea recurs as a token, draws you a card.
◈
Enchantress's Presence
Enchantress · Card Draw
Whenever you cast an enchantment spell, draw a card. For three mana, it is a classic enchantress engine that keeps your hand full as you play enchantments from the 99.
◈
Starfield of Nyx
Recursion · Enchantment Creatures
At the beginning of your upkeep, you may return target enchantment card from your graveyard to the battlefield. As long as you control five or more enchantments, each other non-Aura enchantment you control is a creature with base power and toughness equal to its mana value.
◈
Calix, Destiny's Hand
Planeswalker · Enchantment Tutor
A four-mana planeswalker. Its +1 looks at the top four cards of your library and lets you take an enchantment, its -3 exiles a creature or enchantment you don't control until target enchantment you control leaves, and its -7 returns all enchantment cards from your graveyard to the battlefield.

Playing the Deck

Enduring Enchantments plays through two phases. The first phase fills the graveyard with enchantments by casting a steady stream of enchantress spells and accepting the natural attrition of your permanents being destroyed. Board wipes that hit enchantments accelerate this plan rather than set it back, since Anikthea converts those destroyed enchantments into a graveyard pool for future attacks.

The second phase begins once Anikthea is on the battlefield with at least one non-Aura enchantment in the graveyard. Every time she enters or attacks, she can pull one of those enchantments back as a permanent 3/3 Zombie creature, re-triggering its enter-the-battlefield ability and adding a body that sticks around for good, rather than a one-turn trick. Calix, Destiny's Hand finds more enchantments for the cause, and Eidolon of Blossoms draws a card every time one comes back.

Protecting Anikthea is the deck's primary defensive concern. Equipping her with Lightning Greaves keeps the engine online. The closing mechanism is usually a combination of wide token attacks and Starfield of Nyx turning your non-Aura enchantments into creatures once you control five or more.

Strengths & Weaknesses

Strengths: Anikthea is uniquely resilient to board wipes for an enchantress commander. Opponents who wrath the board feed her graveyard rather than shutting the deck down, and every enchantment she recurs comes back as a permanent creature rather than a one-turn trick, making the deck's recovery genuinely durable. Black gives the deck access to removal and tutors that pure Green-White enchantress builds lack.

Weaknesses: The deck requires Anikthea on the field and attacking to generate its main engine, making her a recurring removal target. Graveyard hate directly undermines the token generation plan. The deck is also slow to establish: it needs both enchantments in the graveyard and Anikthea on the battlefield to function at full power, which represents a two-piece dependency that faster decks can exploit.

Verdict
Enduring Enchantments is a thoughtfully designed precon that gives the enchantress archetype a genuinely new angle. Anikthea's graveyard conversion is novel and satisfying, turning destroyed enchantments into permanent 3/3 bodies one at a time: the deck rewards players who lean into the sacrifice and rebuild loop rather than trying to protect every enchantment. The deck plays with more resilience than most enchantress builds at the precon level and improves naturally with additional constellation triggers and enchantment-based removal.
