Overview

Invent Superiority is an artifact deck with sacrifice outlets. Breya, Etherium Shaper is a 4/4 artifact creature that creates two 1/1 blue Thopter artifact creature tokens with flying when it enters. For {2} and two sacrificed artifacts, it deals 3 damage to a target player or planeswalker, gives a creature -4/-4, or gains you 5 life. Thopters and cheap artifacts are the fuel.

The 99 cards are 30 creatures, 1 planeswalker, 17 artifacts, one enchantment, 4 instants, 9 sorceries and 37 lands. Many of the creatures are artifact creatures, such as Master of Etherium, Baleful Strix, Sharuum the Hegemon, Myr Battlesphere, Silas Renn, Seeker Adept and Sphinx Summoner, and other cards tutor for or recur artifacts, including Trinket Mage, Sanctum Gargoyle, Myr Retriever, Hanna, Ship's Navigator and Trash for Treasure. Sacrifice and engine cards such as Thopter Foundry, Trading Post, Skullclamp and Cranial Plating connect it together.

Key Cards

◈
Thopter Foundry
Sacrifice Outlet · Token Maker
An artifact for {W/B}{U}. For {1} and a nontoken artifact it creates a 1/1 blue Thopter artifact creature token with flying and you gain 1 life. It turns spare artifacts into flying bodies, which can then be sacrificed to Breya.
◈
Master of Etherium
Anthem · Artifact Payoff
A creature for {2}{U}. Its power and toughness are each equal to the number of artifacts you control, and other artifact creatures you control get +1/+1. In this deck, it is often the biggest creature on the table.
◈
Sharuum the Hegemon
Recursion · Flying
A 5/5 for {3}{W}{U}{B}. It has flying, and when it enters you may return target artifact card from your graveyard to the battlefield. It brings back a Myr Battlesphere or a mana rock.
◈
Hellkite Tyrant
Threat · Alternate Win
A 6/5 for {4}{R}{R}. It has flying and trample, and whenever it deals combat damage to a player you gain control of all artifacts that player controls. At the beginning of your upkeep, if you control twenty or more artifacts, you win the game.

Playing the Deck

The early game is about mana and cheap artifacts. Sol Ring, Everflowing Chalice, Fellwar Stone, Commander's Sphere, Vedalken Engineer and Etherium Sculptor ramp you or make artifacts cheaper, Trinket Mage and Ichor Wellspring find or replace cards, and Baleful Strix and Myr Retriever provide early value. Skullclamp turns small creatures into cards.

The middle of the game is about the engine. Breya, Etherium Shaper makes Thopters, Thopter Foundry and Trading Post turn artifacts into value, Master of Etherium and Jor Kadeen, the Prevailer pump the team, and Silas Renn, Seeker Adept and Sharuum the Hegemon recur artifacts. Faerie Artisans copies the creatures opponents play.

The late game is about huge artifacts and resets. Myr Battlesphere, Soul of New Phyrexia and Filigree Angel are large, Hellkite Tyrant steals artifacts, and Open the Vaults, Beacon of Unrest and Grave Upheaval bring things back. Nevinyrral's Disk, Coastal Breach and Phyrexian Rebirth reset the board.

Strengths & Weaknesses

Strengths: The deck has plenty of artifact synergy and a great sacrifice engine in Breya, so it can turn almost every card into value. It also has good interaction, including Executioner's Capsule, Dispeller's Capsule, Parting Thoughts, Whipflare, Trial // Error and Ethersworn Adjudicator.

Weaknesses: The deck is four colours, so its mana is demanding, and many of the best cards are artifacts, so artifact removal and sweepers slow it down. Nevinyrral's Disk and Phyrexian Rebirth help against opponents but hurt your own board, and several of the sacrifice effects need careful sequencing.

Verdict
Invent Superiority is a flexible artifact deck with a strong commander and lots of upgrade potential. It is a good choice for players who like building a board, sacrificing it for value and watching it come back again.
