Overview

Mirror Mastery is a Temur ramp deck with a copying commander. Riku of Two Reflections is a 2/2 with two abilities. Whenever you cast an instant or sorcery spell, you may pay {U}{R} to copy it and choose new targets, and whenever another nontoken creature you control enters, you may pay {G}{U} to create a token copy of that creature. A single big spell or an enter-the-battlefield creature can happen twice.

The 99 cards are 24 creatures, one planeswalker, 7 artifacts, 3 enchantments, 10 instants, 13 sorceries and 41 lands. Ramp such as Cultivate, Kodama's Reach, Explosive Vegetation, Elvish Aberration and Magus of the Vineyard pays for the top end, and enter-the-battlefield creatures such as Aethersnipe, Artisan of Kozilek, Fierce Empath, Nucklavee and Spitebellows get better when copied. Big finishers include Simic Sky Swallower, Magmatic Force, Hydra Omnivore and Intet, the Dreamer.

Key Cards

◈
Aethersnipe
Bounce · Copy Target
A 4/4 for {5}{U}. When it enters, it returns target nonland permanent to its owner's hand, and it can be evoked for {1}{U}{U}. Copied by Riku, it bounces two things.
◈
Artisan of Kozilek
Reanimation · Annihilator
A 10/9 for {9}. When you cast it you may return target creature card from your graveyard to the battlefield, and it has annihilator 2. Copied by Riku, the token gets an annihilator trigger too.
◈
Magmatic Force
Burn · Big Body
A 7/7 for {5}{R}{R}{R}. It is a 7/7, and at the beginning of each upkeep it deals 3 damage to any target. It kills a creature or a player every turn.
◈
Garruk Wildspeaker
Planeswalker · Ramp
A planeswalker for {2}{G}{G} with 3 starting loyalty. Its +1 untaps two target lands, its -1 creates a 3/3 green Beast creature token, and its -4 gives your creatures +3/+3 and trample. It ramps, makes Beasts and finishes the game.

Playing the Deck

The early game is about ramp. Sol Ring, Gruul Signet, Izzet Signet, Simic Signet, Cultivate and Kodama's Reach ramp you, Magus of the Vineyard and Collective Voyage help the whole table with mana, and Fierce Empath finds a big creature. Prophetic Prism fixes your colours.

The middle of the game is about copies and value. Riku of Two Reflections copies your spells and creatures, Garruk Wildspeaker makes Beasts, Edric, Spymaster of Trest and Conundrum Sphinx draw cards, Electrolyze, Fire // Ice and Prophetic Bolt mix removal and cards, and Animar, Soul of Elements makes creatures cheaper.

The late game is about huge creatures and a reset. Artisan of Kozilek, Simic Sky Swallower, Magmatic Force and Trench Gorger are enormous, Call the Skybreaker makes a 5/5 flyer again and again, Savage Twister, Firespout, Chain Reaction and Disaster Radius clear the board, and Death by Dragons gives everyone else a Dragon.

Strengths & Weaknesses

Strengths: The deck has a huge amount of ramp and a lot of strong enter-the-battlefield creatures, so it can cast anything it draws. It also has plenty of interaction, including Spell Crumple, Tribute to the Wild, Hull Breach, Ray of Command, Aethersnipe and Vengeful Rebirth.

Weaknesses: The deck has many expensive cards and relies on its ramp, so it can be vulnerable to a fast start, and Ruination and Faultgrinder hurt your own mana as much as an opponent's. Riku's copies cost extra mana, and Riku is only a 2/2 that needs to survive.

Verdict
Mirror Mastery is a ramp deck with big payoffs and a lot of ways to make the best cards even better. It is a good choice for players who like to ramp, copy and finish with huge creatures.
