Overview

Subjective Reality is a deck that controls its own draws, led by a planeswalker. Aminatou, the Fateshifter can be your commander and enters with three loyalty. Its +1 draws a card, then puts a card from your hand on top of your library. Its -1 exiles another permanent you own and returns it under your control, and its -6 shifts all nonland permanents other than Aminatou to the next player in the direction you choose. Putting a miracle card on top and then drawing it is the heart of the deck.

The 99 cards are 26 creatures, 8 artifacts, 3 enchantments, 10 instants, 12 sorceries and 40 lands. The deck has five miracle spells, including Terminus, Devastation Tide, Banishing Stroke, Entreat the Angels and Entreat the Dead, and library tools such as Brainstorm, Ponder, Portent, Telling Time and Dream Cache set up the top card. Ninjas such as Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow, Ninja of the Deep Hours and Silent-Blade Oni, and a set of Sphinxes, give the deck evasive threats.

Key Cards

◈
Terminus
Miracle · Board Wipe
A sorcery for {4}{W}{W}. It puts all creatures on the bottom of their owners' libraries, and its miracle cost is {W}. For one white mana it clears every creature, yours included.
◈
Entreat the Angels
Miracle · Token Maker
A sorcery for {X}{X}{W}{W}{W}. It creates X 4/4 white Angel creature tokens with flying, with a miracle cost of {X}{W}{W}. With a lot of mana, a miracle draw can create an enormous air force.
◈
Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow
Ninja · Drain
A 1/3 for {1}{U}{B}. It has commander ninjutsu, and whenever a Ninja you control deals combat damage to a player you reveal the top card of your library and put it into your hand, and each opponent loses life equal to that card's mana value. It draws a card and drains on every hit.
◈
Yennett, Cryptic Sovereign
Free Spells · Flying
A 3/5 for {2}{W}{U}{B}. It has flying, vigilance and menace, and whenever it attacks you reveal the top card of your library and may cast it for free if its mana value is odd, otherwise you draw a card. It always gives you something.

Playing the Deck

The early game is about mana and card selection. Sol Ring, Mind Stone, Azorius Signet, Dimir Signet and Orzhov Signet ramp you, and Brainstorm, Ponder, Portent, Telling Time, Sigiled Starfish and Crystal Ball set up your top cards. Mulldrifter and Pilgrim's Eye give value early.

The middle of the game is about evasive threats and card advantage. Aminatou, the Fateshifter sets your draws and flickers value creatures, Conundrum Sphinx, Duskmantle Seer and Sphinx of Uthuun draw cards in the air, and Ninja of the Deep Hours and Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow use ninjutsu. Cloudform, Lightform and Primordial Mist make manifested creatures.

The late game is about miracles and big payoffs. Terminus and Banishing Stroke cost a single white mana when miracled, Devastation Tide costs {1}{U}, Entreat the Dead and Army of the Damned bring back or make an army, Aminatou's Augury casts spells for free, and Sower of Discord and Silent-Blade Oni close out games. Akroma's Vengeance resets the board.

Strengths & Weaknesses

Strengths: The deck has strong card selection and a lot of flying threats, and a single miracle can swing the game. It also has plenty of removal and flexibility, including Utter End, Mortify, Crib Swap, Esper Charm, Return to Dust and Banishing Stroke.

Weaknesses: The miracle plan needs you to arrange your draw, so it needs you to set up the top of your library first, and Aminatou is a planeswalker that opponents can attack. Several cards are expensive without a miracle, and the three colours make some turns clumsy.

Verdict
Subjective Reality is a clever deck that rewards careful planning and big, dramatic turns. It is a good choice for players who enjoy library manipulation and want to find out how it feels to cast Terminus for one mana.
