Overview
Federation Fleet is one of four Commander decks in Star Trek Commander, the Universes Beyond set releasing on November 13, 2026. Wizards describes it as a Jeskai (white-blue-red) deck led by Jean-Luc Picard, Luminary, and it is the deck that leans on legendary characters and supports your starships and creatures.
Picard rewards you for deploying historic permanents, which means artifacts, legendary permanents and Sagas. Each time another historic permanent with mana value 3 or greater enters under your control, you draw a card. His second ability is the new seek out mechanic: whenever you draw your second card each turn, you can put a +1/+1 counter on another creature and two charge counters on a Spacecraft. Because his own first ability draws cards, the two abilities feed each other.
What We Know So Far
Federation Fleet is one of four Commander decks in Star Trek Commander. Each deck has a suggested price of $74.99, and there is also a Collector's Edition version of each at $159.99. Wizards lists 32 new cards across the set's Commander decks, alongside reprints and tokens, and each deck's face commander is a foil borderless card.
The official 100-card decklist has not been published yet. This page covers what is confirmed, which is the commander, the colours and the mechanics, and the full list will be added as soon as Wizards reveals it. We only name cards on this page that we can confirm from Wizards or from the card database.
How It Plays
Until the full decklist is public, the safest read of the plan comes straight from the commander. Picard is a card-advantage engine: cast a historic permanent worth three or more mana and you draw, and once that is your second draw of the turn the seek out trigger grows your team and loads up a Spacecraft with charge counters.
That makes the deck a natural home for the new Spacecraft artifacts, which use charge counters to become creatures once they reach a threshold. Wizards has confirmed that charge counters are the resource Spacecraft run on, and seek out is the commander's way of supplying them.
