Overview
We Are the Borg is one of four Commander decks in Star Trek Commander, the Universes Beyond set releasing on November 13, 2026. It is an Esper (white-blue-black) deck built around artifact creatures and the assimilate mechanic, led by The Borg Queen.
The Borg Queen gives your artifact creatures +2/+2, and she is one herself. Whenever she enters or attacks, a target opponent exiles cards from the top of their library until they exile a creature card, and you assimilate it: it goes onto the battlefield under your control with a +1/+1 counter, as a Borg artifact creature. Every assimilated creature is therefore an artifact, so it also benefits from her +2/+2.
What We Know So Far
We Are the Borg is one of four Commander decks in Star Trek Commander. Each deck has a suggested price of $74.99, and there is also a Collector's Edition version of each at $159.99. Wizards lists 32 new cards across the set's Commander decks, alongside reprints and tokens, and each deck's face commander is a foil borderless card.
The official 100-card decklist has not been published yet. This page covers what is confirmed, which is the commander, the colours and the mechanics, and the full list will be added as soon as Wizards reveals it. We only name cards on this page that we can confirm from Wizards or from the card database.
How It Plays
Until the full decklist is public, the plan comes straight from the commander. She is a six-mana creature, so the deck wants to ramp and survive to cast her, then attack to keep assimilating. Each trigger takes a creature out of an opponent's library and puts it on your side of the table.
The Borg theme is also carried by other cards in the set, such as Locutus of Borg, a white-blue-black artifact creature that makes 1/1 Borg tokens when your artifact creatures connect. It shares this deck's colours, but Wizards has not confirmed which deck it ships in, so treat that as a possibility until the decklist is released.
